How to remove smog equipment

I just found out that I don't need emissions tests any more for my 1992 LX with everything you see in my signature. Right now, i have an exhaust leak in the smog tube right behind the passenger side head. If I wanted to remove the smog equipment, what's the best way to do this and am I correct about not needing the tests???

It's been a LONG time since I've been here, glad things are still rocking!! Going to get my girl back up to sprinting speed and put her back on the road!!

Of course it's legal!! They don't test for emissions for 95 and older cars here in MO, just a safety inspection!! HOW DO I TAKE THIS ***** OFF>>>

Well...actually.As i said..IS it legal to discuss Smog Equipment Mods/removal under the TOS agreement on this site.
As far as Removal of equipment on your car,get some wrenches and a Manual.

You'll need the 5/8 - 11 plugs for the back of the heads and a smog pump eliminator or a belt rerouting. Then it's just a matter of taking things off and throwing them in the garbage.
