Only the V6 went OBD2 in 1994. Since they shared some common wiring harnesses, the OBD port is installed on all 94+ SN95's

Read up on it a little last night. Makes sense with not wanting to make a second dash harness...wish they would have been in the same mindset with all of the different harnesses in the 87-93 cars (beating a dead horse).

@AeroCoupe are these the right 24lb injectors? It was from a 89 460 big block. Does it have to be the 92 and up for the model year?

Yup, those are 24s

The blue top indicates they are 24 lb/hr units and the connectors are EV1’s. The list I posted was just what I could find and not necessarily all inclusive.

How much do they want for them?

Haven’t asked yet but probably not too much since the only changed me $88 can for cylinders heads with valve covers included. So probably will be worth picking up you think?

So this is must me but with used injectors you should probably have them serviced. This would be someone like Injector Doctor or the likes. Call around and see if anyone does it somewhat local to you and see what the cost is. I only say this as if these have sat static for a while then who knows how they will function.

If you choose to use them as is then at least get new o-rings, filters, and pintal caps for them.

Right cleaning then and especially getting new o ring will be a good idea. If I get them I will probably buy that rebuild kit.

if and when a guy finds an untouched 96-7 explorer what size sockets should he have with him to remove the intake and heads? any other tools to help with the job? I'm a rube but also trying to have everything I need in my truck for when I get lucky without hauling too much around. 2 closest junkyards are both about an hour away so I want to be ready. Thanks In advance

Buy the entire engine, they are selling for around $400.....

I can't remember every socket size I used but make sure you have everything up to like I don't know a 24mm maybe, whatever that is imperial 3/4 15/16.
Also bring an impact if you can for the header bolts. Make sure you loosen the head bolts incrementally as well.

But I agree with my boy Limp if you have the time just take the whole engine it will be worth it I would think if you do find it.

oh PS if you do only take the intake and heads take the 19lb injectors as well they are better than the stock mustang. Better spray pattern I think. I should have took them when I found that explorer...
