This is going to sound dumb, but how the hell do I get the rear seat out of my 91 GT? I just need to take the part your butt goes on out to install some torque box reinforcements, the backs can stay put.

If I recall correctly... all you need to do is pull. I don't believe the Fox Mustangs had a little button you need to press in order to release them like the SN95s have. Been like 7 years since I had a Fox, so I'm going strictly by memory here.

just fiddle with it, it cant be that hard...i remember a few bucks in coins made their way down into my backseat and it took me only a few minutes of pushing and pulling on that seat to get it outta there to retrieve em. to my suprise there was alot more than just coins under there. i think i found a few cd's or crap the previous owner lost...:D you'll get it just play around with it pushing and pulling from different angles.

The lower cushion is held in place by 2 short bars that runs cross car. On the chasis there are two formations of metal that look like opposing 'C'

To get the lower cushion out. You push rearward in the middle of the seat to get it past the flange and the you push up slightly. It'll pop right out. No screws required. If you are lucky and have a convertible than you can stand up in the back and use your shins or knees for a bit more leverage.

Edit: I can't get a good representation using the forum, I'll take a picture when I get home for you if you still need it.

ok so the butt part of the seat comes out the same way that it used to in my Notch. Just didnt want to start rippin it out to break something. I used to do it the way you described using my knees to push the seat back.
