HP GAIN TRICKFLOW HEADS!!!!

Im getting some trick flow twisted wedge heads with 1.6 rocker arms that are bowl ported how much of a hp increase should i expect from this i have a stock manifold and cam right now but in getting a trickflow street intake intake manifold soon.

Wait to install them until you have a cam and intake. You'll be suffocating those heads with a factory intake. Someone took the time to port the bowl, but not the ports?

Get at the very least a good intake before you procede to install these heads

I would say install atleast a cam at the same time as the heads due to the fact you have to take the entire front accesory off the engine to do the head swap anyways plus you have to get new gaskets so you might as well do the cam at the same time.

+1 to that. Removing all the accessories is enough work that you might just wanna wait if there is a cam in your future.

With the cam and intake and supporting mods, you should have an increase of around 125 HO over stock depending on how you calulate the rwhp to bhp. I am at approximately 350bhp and the torque is unbelievable like around 370-375btq. I use a factor or .83. I could get more out of it with a larger cam but it would be not street comfortable.

NOTE: WITHOUT supporting mods of the ca mand intake, tb, etc..you are not going to see such an increase. The secret in in the COMBINATION of mods and not just slapping on heads.

I would agree with everybody else - definitely change the cam and the intake or your leaving a lot on the table. With the HCI and other supporting mods you should see around 300 hp to the wheels. Without the cam and intake i would prolly say around 250-260 to the wheels - depending on supporting mods

Here's my opinion. If you are on a budget, you can wait on the intake. Sure it's not the best but it's an easy swap when it comes time to do it when you can afford a good one. If you can get a good deal on the heads now, go for it and save up for a cam and timing set. Even with a stock intake you'll have a really nice boost in power.

+1 here! I have yet to change the cam and I'm really happy so far with what I have done. Notice that it's not tuned yet though, so if you're planning on doing that you'll have to wait until all the other mods are done too.

stock cam is great for blowers and turbos so that "little" power adder could of helped alittle bit....

It had more than that. He forgot to mention the 347 stroker kit, NOS and Kenne Belle blower. That or he had trick blinker fluid and poly muffler bearings.
