Regarding the ebrake, yes, you probably need to get the FMS adjustable center cable. If you haven't seen it, the cable is basically a wire with a long threaded stud on the end for the adjustment. It does not come with bolts, so you have to find them. I got two to lock it in position. You have to remove the stock cable from the equalizer that the two cables hook to and drill the center hole out, then you can install it all and tighten it up. But like I warned you, if you don't weld the handle, it will be a PITA to get the ebrake self adjuster spring adjusted right. I installed the FMS cable and rewound (tightened) the spring like 3 or 4 times, installing it and adjusting the cables under the car each time, until I got it right. The first two times I put it together, the nut on the FMS cable screwed all the way in and I still had slack. You can do it, just be aware that it might take some effort.
