Hydraulic Cylinders From Convertible Interchangeable Between Years?

Hi, so one of my cylinders is busted and I was going to get a new cylinder, then I saw they were 80 dollars

So I'm going to get them from the junkyard since they would be, tops, 20 bucks each. The thing is they have mostly 99-04 convertibles. I don't even think I have seen an SN95 convertible there. From pictures, online the actual cylinder is smaller on the New edge but the housing and hoses are the same. So if I got both it should work I think, but I was wondering if anyone has tried or knows about them.

I would measure the stroke and overall length of both, collapsed and extended.
