Well, here I go spending more hard earned money not making any more power. I dropped 300+ bucks on Competition Engineering rear shocks and Strange Engineering front struts. I know it will help out in the long run to have the car ready for when I do put some money into power but it sure does hurt to spend so much and not really go any faster. I've put a good bit of money and work into the suspension and I hope it works.

2 good points of good news though...

Maryland just sent me my last income tax refund check (I live in NC now) $$$ and...

I also ordered a new Flowmaster 44 series muffler for my 5.0 F-150 to replace that lame-azz 50 series muffler they included with the American Thunder exhaust for my truck.

I know that feeling man... subframe connectors, torque box reinforcements, 6 point cage... all that money i could have spent on go fast junk, but then again, i want to go fast, and not twist the car or die in the process

Those are nice adjustments, even if they seem small, right? My 86, put in an 89 motor, never opened it(this was back in 91, didn't need opening), threw on 150 NOS kit, headers, off-road, Flowmasters, 3.73's, then tweaked the actual car. The Southsides/ torque box thing, air bag on passenger side, welded up the sub frames, off with the sway bar- that seemed like a lot more work. It never would have given me an 11.43 @ 120 otherwise!

I've already given serious consideration to a competition sway bar instead of the air bag and my subframes are welded. I think I'm getting close to "as good as it gets" for a stock Mustang. I'm also thinking about a tubular K frame to drop even more weght. I'm close to 3,000 pounds on a certifed scale now.

I have a buddy with a '98 Vette and I intend to whip him without modding the engine.
