i dunno what else to do to my motor without tearing it apart. right now my motor has 115k miles on it. seems to have great oil pressure according to the guage( i know that the guages are off a bit). im wiring up my mass air this week when i get my 24# injectors. i got the delete kits on it with an explorer intake, headers, 3.73 gears and lower control arms. im wondering if there is something else to do with out seriously taking the motor apart. i plan to rebuild in 2 years. but my car is starting to feel slow and i need more power. any info would be nice

Don't waste your time or money on a cam, without heads.

Start working on the rest of your exhaust. Even if it doesn't doesn't provide you a huge gain now, it'll pave the way for future mods.

the rest of my exhaust includes mac pro chamber with 2.5 flowpaths dumped. i have a tfs stg 1 cam but ill have to change valve springs and i didnt want to do that yet or could i get away with using my stock springs and put hardened pushrods and 1.6 rr for now. i got my tack set at 5k and thats what i shift at every time, if that will help.

with 115k miles that thing is just getting br0ken in...haha. id just wait 2 years t0 rebuild it unless its having seri0us issues. d0 a c0mpressi0n test and leak d0wn test t0 see if it really needs a rebuild. n0 sense in rebuilding a m0t0r that will last an0ther 50k miles

I know this maybe old school thinking but every v-8 owner since the early sixty's first mod was a cam and intake on any v-8 running factory heads. I'm not sure why you guys would not suggest swapping the cam out. Ok i understand with factory heads he will not see the entire potential of a cam swap but it will make more power then his current factory cam.

Factory E7's are proven good till 300hp at the crank untouched. With the right intake and exhaust a cam WILL help you get 240-250 at the wheels.
