I had a 91gt a few years ago and I always regreted selling it. Well I got this fixer upper... and I have a few questions. I really wish it were a 5speed but for $1880 beggers cant be chosers.

Its going to be a daily driver and maybe hit a test or tune once or twice. My end goal is about 300-350whp and I had planned to buy a used supercharger from the forums. The car is completely stock at the moment but before i get to adding power I want to do the basic tune up stuff. What spark plugs/wires should I get and from which vendor? If there is a particular vendor that supports the forums id order from them.

It also needs pads, rotors and possibly calipers asap. I dont need anything fancy but whatever is best bang for the buck.

Thanks.

my recommendations are autolite plugs, k & n for the air filter and something like Crane Cams DIY plug wire kit. Nice find btw! Thing appears to be darn clean and for under 2k I wouldn't complain either. :nice:

no they're not the worst plug. they're a ford plug, so they work well for fords. get either motorcraft sp-450 spark plugs or autolite 25's. both are copper plugs which run better in our stangs than platinum. when you switch to forced induct, you'll probably want to switch to a colder plug, but either of these will be alright still. as far as wires, ford racing 9mm wires are about $40 depending on where you get them and are great wires. better than any bosch or accel wires you get at autoparts stores like autozone, oreilly's, etc. for the same price.

these cars are really reliable if they're maintained properly. easy to modify as well. with just 4:10's and exhaust i ran a 13.7@99mph in my 5 speed car.

nice find, btw, and good luck!

Thanks for the backup on autolites guys... Its always good to have that reverberated . As for the FRPP wires, I would stay away. I had two sets of those only to find out that they allow too much resistance in contrast to the crane cams wires. I also went through two sets of the FRPP wires and had them burn on me. The Crane Cams wires will cost a bit more but could rest on a header and not melt. I have seen it and will attest to their ability. Either way, both would be better than stock though!:nice:

Yeah, I know they were limited edition and the AOD turned me off to. the guy was asking $2500, and i turned him down when i found out it was an auto. Then he knocked the price down and i still wasnt sure. I really wanted a notch, and decided the lx convertible was close enough.

I almost **** my pants when I saw the car. I thought it was my brother's old 5.0 (orange w/ white top and white ponies), but his was a 5 speed. If it was his old car, you would have had a problem on your hands.

Springtime editions are some of the most valuable 5.0s out there.
