I installed my side 'hockey' stripes this weekend! (Picts inside)

Well I at least got one side done before nature decided to let loose on the rain (of which we haven't had any since the last time I had some free time). I still need to paint the lower black stripe along the door and rear quarter. Hopefully i'll be able to do that this weekend (weather permitting). I Will also be posting a detailed step-by-step installation of the stripes, as usual, also I will be putting together an online video version of the installation steps (I borrowed a digital camcorder). Until then here's some pictures of the DS that i did get done. What do you guys think?

BTW To position the stripes, I went off relative references of a dozen or so pictures of 72 mach 1's.

I'm still torn about installing the rear trunk stripes. What do you guys think?

As is:

wow, looks great. red/black are awsome, just one thing though, are you going to keep the "Mustang" badge on the trunk lid? i think it would work well with it on.

man i've never realised how much thoughs cars look like a mini-cuda from the side.

He shoots, he scores!!!!!!! Nice Sticks Oboe, look great. :nice:

I say use both on the back. I think what makes it hard to decide on the stripes in your tape up is that the space between the lines is white not red right now, but with the black spoiler and the tail panel black, I think you need the pop color sandwiched in between. If the Mustang logo does not fit right in the middle of the stripes, or you can't cleverly carve it in to look like it belongs there, then I say relocate it the tail light panel.

Another vote for the stripe.

Oboe, at least you weren't in the middle of clearing your hood when all this rain came down. You have never seen a guy pull a hood (saw horses too) inside a garage!!

Everything is ok, but it was clear skies above me when I put that first coat on, and then in like 15 minutes I look out there and it just had started to sprinkle!

Anyway, I would stripe it.
