I got a noise ordinance violation ticket a month ago, my exhaust was too loud. Then my friends and I got stopped twice and harassed by the cops while jogging a couple weeks ago. Then last night............

Last night there was a group of us in austin, we went for a movie and food. Well my ex-g/f rode with me and my buddy in my car to the restaurant and left her car at the theatre. I brought her back afterwards, and passed her car, so I spun a quick 180 in the parking lot. I completely forgot that the theatre hires cops to sit in personal vehicles and patrol the parking lot. Two of them rolled up QUICK as we were getting out of the stang. One was practically running at me and yelling "get over here!". So I walked over, and he starts reeming me out.

COP 1: Do you want to go to jail tonight?
ME: Sure, I like being raped by guys named Susan. (I didn't say that, lol, I said no sir, but I was thinking that!)
COP 1: Do you know I could take you to jail right now? That's a class b misdemeanor called reckless driving. What would have happened if you had hit another car? (well there were no other cars around, but whatever)
ME: I'd pay the price.
COP 1: That's right, because you don't have control of your car when you're doing that.
ME: Yes I do you fat son of a bitch (I didn't actually say anything here, but I was thinking that! lol)
COP 2: What you don't realize is that the movie theatre hires us to sit out here and patrol the parking lot looking for dumbasses like you. (I did know that, I had just forgotten)
COP 1: Where do you live son?
ME: Do you know where Salado is? I live there.
COP 2: Well go to Salado and do that ****, don't do it around here.
ME: Yes sir.

They were kinda jerks about it, but they let me go so it's all good. But man I can't stay outta trouble lately!!

you guys have to understand that its a hard job, and that when dealing w/ criminals on a constant basis you may come across as an a$$hole but you're not. they just wanted to instaill in you the fact that something bad could happen doing stuff like that, and it could, and it is an arrestable offense.
guero-private places can hire you off duty to work as their security. with your avatar i figured you might be a cop, or military. so the pussies comment kind of sounded off. most cops are far from it.

They work as security for compinies while off duty as side jobs. And they can still carry guns and arrest you.

lol, I know what you mean dude. I am ALWAYS wondering where are the cops when everybody ELSE is doing stupid crap?! But anytime I try something, there's one right there to bust me. But I still respect the hell outta them. That's a tough job. And WAY too many people categorize them all as jerks. *cough* ex-girlfriend!! *cough*

man you have no idea. there are so many calls and incidents in which the public never hears about. we're there when ***** hits the fan. you cant be every where at once though. depends on the area and dept. , as well as the individual officers out look on how much your balls will get busted on speeding. most mid to large size depts wont mess with it unless youre looking for a reason to stop them anyway. you're too busy to mess w/ it at times. unless neighbors are complaining about speeders, then you'll have to crack down for a little while. good luck in your pursuit of a law enforcement job. i dont know where you live but in a lot of places it is tough to get in. you should reapply for the corrections job or a similar position to gain some experience.

yeah It seems I can't stay out of trouble either. My last ticket I got was a misdemeanor. Aid in unauthorized speed contest which goes for 5 points. I was in the passanger seat when I said go. Well they only knew that because my friend decided to be a douchebag and tell the cop i started it as if it was going to help him out with the 5 tickets he already got. anyway I got a lawyer and its down to 2 points but I have to go take defensive driving real soon, i've been putting it off. I dont need any calls from the court lol.

only reason i tried to be a detention officer was to make it easier to become a cop. i know some cops are cool. but all that had puled me over or stuff that i've done that the cops showed up have been racists ball headed caucasion. execpt for two. i usually talk to one that asks me how many cars i race. and what i,ve been up to, but thats the only one. he pulled me over speeding swirving in and out of traffic(back when i had an 01 V6), and just complimented my car and told me to stop driving like a maniac.lol

yeah seriously, the arrested me too. The worst part was when I had to call to be picked up form the station they uncuffed me so I could use the phone, then after I was done they told me to put my hands behind my back again!! They also made my court date for the next morning at 9 am, because "I don't have anything better to do." It happened to be the last day of training for my new job. So I went to that and posponed the court date. The cop was a complete *******, he was one of those young guys out to make a name. He told me he was going to beat me with his nightstick because I wouldn't admit to smoking/having weed on me at the time which I didn't do. uhggg anyway sorry now i'm just ranting

I dont usually drive like a idiot, because even a warning and my dad will yank me from insurance sooo fasttt.luckily when i do get caught (about 2 times i got pulled over for dumb stuff, and another two that were blatantly some sort of vendetta against me it wasnt even funny), i got a PBA member card (In NYC its like a freekin get out of jail free card), a detectives endowment decal on my windsheild (proof that a family memeber was a detective) and a badge in my wallet (again, proof a detective is in the family.). Plus there is a leutenant (SP?) in my family who is in my cell phone just in case.

NOTE: this doesnt mean i drive around like a spoiled brat who gets away with everything. as some of you guys kno, our cars draw attention, so it helps to have this stuff. i, in no way, use this stuff to do wat i want just to get away with it. i used it once (KIND OF twice) to get out of a ticket that was my fault, aka a burnout. i dont speed, my car rattles too much.

This is true.

My encounters w/cops since age 16 to current (age 23) has gone like this:

1 - nice
2 - a$$hole
3 - nice
4 - a$$hole

...so I'm due for a 'nice cop' encounter.

You should have pulled a Chuck Norris/Guero. Round kicked both of them in the face then fired at their dead corpses with your AK 47.

I would do exactly what he said. And when a cop gets on you for messing around tell him that another cop told you it was fine to do it wehre you live, just not at the theater.
