Is anyone planning on attending the All-Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA this year. I got the scoop, its June 1-3. I wasn't able to make it last year, but I am definately going this year.

The reason I bring this up is because we alway want to do a Stangnet meet, but from what I have seen it never really develops. Who is interested in going and meeting up this year. Regardless, I be there, but I just think it is a pretty good central location, atleast for many in the east.

:SNSign:

I've been trying to get there for the last 3 years... I haven't been able to because of work, the weather, or my car being "under construction" so hopefully I'll be there this year.

Paul, don't plan on showing your face if that vert isn't done in time. lol

I really want to see "the masters" in person. GET TO WORK! I probably won't even see it, except on stangnet, if I don't catch you at Carlisle.

i'll be there. I've been every year for like the past 5 years. haven't been in the show yet...but i go ever year. The one time i did get registered early for the show, i blew a head gasket the week before and had to fix it, but didn't make it. rained all day anyway so i wouldn't have went anyway but still

LOL! I'll do my best. I have a TON to do. The shortblock is done, I'm just waiting on some top end components and it'll be ready to drop in. Once that happens I'll have to try and find all of the nuts and bolts to put it all together since its been apart for 2 years! I'm NOT looking forward to this because I have some parts at my house, and others at my parents where the car is, I just hope I can find them all.

In addition, since the car has been sitting for 2yrs, I have a LOT of cleaning to do. I also have a new hood, front bumper, and side skirts that I'm hoping to get painting and on the car this year. I plan to wait until Carlisle and maybe pick up a cervini's stalker rear bumper, although I want a saleen style. I'm also hoping to get a roll bar put in the car. I'm quickly running out of time (and money), and unfortunately I can't do anything until the engine is in the car and its able to move on it own. Getting the car running is priority 1 and I will not spend a dime on anything else until its running.

Man I have a lot to do!

Its not legal for anything under a 13.5 second 1/4 mile pass, but the main reason is that I'm soon going to have a lot more power and I want to make sure the chassis is reinforced before I permanetly tweak the frame. I never wanted a legal bar because my car is/was a street car, but after my current buildup is done I feel that for safety reasons I really should put a bar in it. I just need to make sure that the company I elect to build it will do so exactly like I want because I want it to look as good as it functions which can be hard in a 'vert. Most legal bars do not look good IMO.

i would like to make it there.....but gonna have to play it by ear....i got tons of work ahead on the 94:( ...if i start my 347 build i def. wont be there...pa damn thats a drive how long does that drive take from mi? i see you say you go every year?

I also missed it last year. I WILL be attending this year, hopefully entering my car. I need to do a tad more paint work first (I'm anal about the car like that lol), and depending on what kind of tax return I get this year, I might have some new tricks up my sleeve. Tom are you bringing your car? I would love to see it in person, and have it spank my car's ass in the show lol.

It would be cool to meet some of the people I see on here all the time.:SNSign:

Dan, yeah, I will be there with the car unless something happens. However, don't be to sure about me beating your car. Your car is "hella clean", and it just comes down to jugdes preferences. Thats why I always try to do everything tastefully on the car, but the jugdes may not agree.

Either way, I am amped to meet up with everyone and look at some of these cars that I have only seen pics of. lol Especially yours Dan, I think I can get some ideas from it for sure! Really would be nice to see Killers' car as well.

question is this where those horrible drivers were that hit parked cars??

What are you refering to?

As for judging... the Carlisle show is participant judged and normally I like that format, but at Carlisle it can be a death sentence. What I mean is that typically car clubs attend the events at Carlisle and they tend to vote for one another and the truely deserving cars sometimes do not win. Also, there is no policing of the classifications of which cars are entered so you may be in a modified class up against a car that belongs in super mod, or a car in a stock class that has a bunch of stuff done. I ran into this the last time I entered my car into the show. I barely make it in under the maximum points allowed to be in modified. If I had aftermarket paint, a supercharger, or even a stereo I'd be in super mod. At the last show I was in there was a car that I'm familiar with in modified that has all three of those things in addition to everything else I have and they ended up placing in modified when they clearly should have been in super mod. It pissed me off, but I'm not on to cause a scene. However, if I enter my car again this year and I see that this same car is trying to pull the same stuff I will be raising hell!

i just got the mail from Carlisle about registering. They have a field for club. You guys putting your cars in the show want to put Stangnet as the club? Don't they usually park club members together? I assume everyone is going saturday?

They do not put club cars together typically. If you get 25-30 or more they will give you a tent. They normally break the showfield down into sections for each class. If they put all cars in a club together the chances of some not being properly judged is very high since the cars won't be with the others in its same class.
