Not that it's accurately calculating this or anything, but it sure knows how to boost my mood. I did a 3000 to 6200 RPM pull just a bit ago with datalogging, and fed it to EEC Analyzer to make some adjustments to my tune. One of the things EEC Analyzer can attempt to do is estimate horsepower & torque based on logged information (MAF, fuel, etc). It says peak horsepower is 374 @ 5825, peak torque is 373 at 4728 (both numbers are brake, obviously). If only that were true. :rlaugh:

I have a dyno run scheduled for 10:30AM Saturday, so I'll find out for sure if my recent mods improved anything (changed from 65mm 94/95 TB and 75mm MAF to 75mm Fox TB & 80mm MAF, and changed catback from MAC to Magnaflow). My buddy is in the process of having a new shortblock installed in his 95 vert, along with the TFS kit. I can't let him beat me... :nonono:

Dave, is this the same dyno you were on before? I hope so as I really want to know how much, if any, that the fox body setup is worth. I really hope you are finally getting your car to run like it is supposed to. Good luck!!!

i have heard nothing but good things about it, except that it costs $50. :D

i am starting a project to write my own program to analyze a tweecer log, but mine is going to be open source and free. since you can open the logs directly in excel, i am going to write it in excel's scripting language.

Should be interesting to see what you dyno at? Have you been working on dialing in the injector timing, low/high slopes, and injector offset vs. battery voltage? Just got mine ready to go, but sadly I'm leaving for school this Saturday so I won't be able to DL and dump data into it.

What values do you have to datalog for that to show up? I only got the estimated AFR and I dataloged: KAMs, PWs, RPMs, lambse, spark, MAF volts, MAF kg/hr, load and TP. Anything else I should have in there?

Yep, same dyno. I hope the swap helped a little at least. But I'm done with engine mods for awhile -- I just dropped a thousand bucks for Bilsteins, front coilovers, and Cobra front brakes. Then I need to drop a grand on the rear suspension. And then a grand on the interior (seats). THEN maybe I'll work my way back around to the motor. Probably I'll just put together a 331 or 347 shortblock and stuff it in there (yeah, with the AFR 165's even...).

I'll post my dyno results as soon as I get them. They're doing baseline pulls for $30, but I think I may pony up for an hour on the dyno so I can play with my A/F a little while I'm there.

I've been dialing in the injector timing and slopes, but not offset vs. voltage.

Where's school?

That *should* be enough, the docs say that the only required values are PW1, PW2, RPM, and MAFV. I went through the EEC Analyzer docs and found all required variables for every part of the application, and put together a payload that covers them all.

WHere do you dowload the eec analyzer and does it work with the eec tuner, or is it for the twEECer only? You guys have me itching to try new things...
http://webpages.charter.net/eecanalyzer/Tuners.htm

Yes, it does work with the EEC Tuner. If nothing else, changing the injector timing is worth it. The guy who wrote EEC Analyzer realized a 4 mpg increase in gas mileage from that change alone. No guarantees, of course, for anyone else. But it makes sense -- with my FTI cam and the stock calibration settings, my injectors were firing 88* prior to the exhaust valve fully closing, so I was blowing some fuel right out the exhaust unburnt. When I made the change to the timing, my car immediately idled noticably better (it was running when I flashed the TwEECer :D).

If I had the specs for your cam, I could tell you with 99% accuracy where the injector timing should be. Basically you just set the injectors to fire at the exact instant the exhaust valve closes, from the cam card.

I'm assuming that you're going to datalog while pulling on the dyno to compare calculated vs. actual, right? Isn't there a way to tweak EEC analyzer to + or - to match the calculated dyno to actual? Perhaps tweaking BSFC? I'm not sure, I haven't yet had a chance to play with that!

I'm definitely going to datalog the dyno runs, to compare later. But I'm not going to try and get them to match up. Eventually I want to get a wideband, and then get my whole setup dialed in so accurately that LAMBSE == wideband. Then it'll be VERY easy to setup my fuel tables for whatever I want :D.

Yep, young buck here. Staring my second year this year. Going for mechanical engineering. I like it so far, even though calc III is a drag
That's awesome. Calc III is infinite series? Been awhile...

One piece of advice (worth every bit of what you're paying for it): If you decide you don't like mech engineering, please don't overreact :D. My brother did two years in mechanical engineering before deciding that it wasn't for him, and he rebounded hard -- transfered all the way to *business administration*. Ouch. Now he's a software developer, he should have at least stayed in a technical major... whoops :D.

Thanks Dave, that looks pretty cool. If I can datalog with my eec tuner, I'm sold on it. I'm not a big believer in MAF transfer functions as I dialed mine in on the dyno and the car ran like crap afterward and I only gained 2ftlbs of TQ and lost 1rwhp. I never ran it that way though at the track.

The only way I'll adjust my MAF transfer is by using KAMRF feedback from the EEC. Honestly, as long as you're within +- 25% everywhere on the MAF curve, the EEC will work out the correct fuel delivery given some time. But you do need to have the MAF accurately dialed in before you can tune some of the other parameters that affect driveability.

Yup, infinite series and the like  I want to do something with performance cars when I get out of school, so I hope I can stick it out. I'm starting a Formula F1 enterprise this year. The team goes through the whole R&D and manufacturing process and gets to race the car competitvely against other schools at the end of the year. That should be a great experiance.

Damn, that sounds awesome! You'll have to keep us up to date, tell us what you're learning, it sounds very cool.

I do remember infinite series & sequences, that was the worst of all the Calc. If your system is similar to ours, next up should be vector calc, and that's easy again, just like basic differentiation and integration were.
