my wife and i have been talking about downsizing our house to save money, and moving back into our old neighborhood when we find the right house.

that house would be near our neighborhood pool, have a garage for me, and a deck that is in the sun for her. and it would cost less than our current house.

the perfect house went on the market yesterday. she loves it. and it is so close to the pool that it overlooks the pool's tennis courts.

she said if we could get it, then i can keep the stang and put it in the garage

sounds like a deal to me

we are going to submit an offer for it tonight

it has a pretty small, one-car garage, but it is a start. maybe after the money stuff is all sorted out, in a few years, i will tear it down and build a two-car one high enough for a lift.

That sounds like awesome news! Moving just to keep a car is a bit excessive, but I think I'd do it, too.

lol, we are moving to downsize to help pay my wife's parents health care costs until medicaid kicks in.

but this time, i was very clear that the new house has to have a garage.

i am letting my wife decide all the other things, like the number of bedrooms, and the eat in kitchen, and the proximity to the pool, and the deck in the back that is in the sun, ...

this house has everything she wants, and it also has a garage

AND MY STANG IS ON THE ROAD AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Cool Chris. For me it's not about the house really, but rather who's in it.

Congrats .

Single car garage-guy here too. It is night and day better than no garage but I have enough crap for an oversized 2 car with a shop kickout...I got rid of the bronco since I do not have the room .

Good luck with the sale/purchase and parental stuff.

after considering the situation, we have decided not to jump into a house move right now. there is just way too much uncertainty right now, in too many areas of our lives, and we have so little time as it is, the added burden of selling our house and moving to another house is too much for us to take on at this time.

my garage will have to wait until another time.

i started driving it again a few days ago, and she hasn't complained much, except to say that she thinks it is too loud. hopefully she will realize that me having the stang is not anywhere close to the most important issue right now.
