I really want an exhaust system, now that i'm graduating college and working full time, i can afford it easily. i used to have a catted x but the engine mounts failed and shattered the porcelin due to vibration. returned it, spent the money on other stuff. i have pretty much have everything above the block modified, but i still have the stock H.

i did a search but couldnt find much on catted pipes, especially for UPR. i havent heard much about them and their catted X's seem pretty cheap in price. how are they? i'm mostly concerned about fit and quality of the cats.

how does upr compare to, say, SLP in terms of quality?

is it WORTH it more to get slp or another high-end brand (maganflow costs too much for me) over UPR?

what about BBK?

thanks!

people on here are gonna advocate the more expensive ones...probably because they are pissed they spent hundreds more for essentially the same product....

i had a UPR X that i added cats to later on...it fit perfect and didnt leak i liked it, but wanted to be a bit louder since we dont have emissions or inspections here in SC...i am from MD and i know it can be tricky to get by not having cats....so its better to not risk it...but as for the UPR goes..its a fine peice at a good price...you'll like it.

and what about slp? i wouldnt mind spending the money if it's worth it.

if the quality of the cats is pretty good, what about sound comparison between the two? seems like a similar crossover though. does slp have a higher cfm than upr or others?

im not pissed. i only spent $100 more and it will last forever. not to mention the money i saved when i wanted to go with Off-Road pipes, and the money I will save when I get LT's.

I have the SLP x-pipe, first with cats then later without. its a high quality piece and the fact that its modular will save you money down the road should you ever want to run LT's or go with Off-Road pipes. the only gripe i had was that the cats hung rather low, even with the stock suspension. they're high quality cats and worked just fine, i just hated having to be careful over speed bumps and dips in the road.
