i need help with tire sizes

im looking for the widest tire i can put on my rear pony wheels i have the stock rear suspension does anyone have pictures of anything wider than the 225/55r16 on pony wheels

Not much wider but these are 235/55/16

I'm running 275/40/17 in the back with no issue and the stock suspension ( 1992 GT ). I got a buddy, the black notch , he runs 275 on his ponies.

thanks for the pictures im looking at a 255/50r16 or something close to it

i was told you can run 245/45 16s all the way around, just the fronts will rub a tad under full lock

255's are the widest you can go on stock ponies. That is with a 40 or 45 tire. You could go 265 if you had a 55 or 60 series tire. But those are taller and will look stupid. I had 245 Goodyear GSC's on a pony wheel and it fit great on the wheel and looked great on the car!

yeah, i was always told 245/50/16 for the ponys. I need new tires too and was going with bfg kdw in that size. I think that would work for ya

I run 225/55/16 in the front and 255/50/16 in the back. I'llsnap a few pics in a minute
