I need new struts... recommendations and assoicated projects wanted

I can't beleive it has been this long, but nearly 3 years and 30K miles ago, I put on 99+ struts/shocks/springs. I discoverd today that the passanger side strut is leaking badly (left a 6" diameter spot overnight!), so I have some work to do over spring break now.
What kind of struts do you recommend? I wish I could afford Koni's, but $300 in struts is not in the budget. Maybe KYB? will they hold up against a descent spring rate?
Also, I am trying to think up associated work to do when it is appart. I am definatly going to do a brake job (hawk pads and SS caliper bushings), and now I am very tempted to buy some MM CC plates. What else could I do with the front end appart?

After some research, I have narrowed it down some.....
*4 way adjustable KYB struts $110/each
*non-adjustable tokico sport struts $110/each
*cheap ass $20-40 struts and spend the money on CC plates
Right now, I am leaning toward the KYB adjustable struts. I don't think a stock replacement strut could handle my cut 99+ springs which are probably ~550 lb/inch.

You could go with the bottom-line KYB GR2's, they seem to cost about as much as stock replacements. I hear they can handle a non-stock spring rate, which is good. I'll probably end up going with those this summer with my Pro-Kit because I'm a cheapass and I have brakes and subframes to do as well.

I don't think there is much rubber left in the front end. Just the strut bushing, and rack bushings.
I purposely didn't lower it, so I don't have to worry about bump steer and so forth caused by lowering it.
Looks like I am just going to get 2 descent struts, and do a brake job.
So, 4 way KYB adjustables or non-adjustable tokico's?
