I gave my wheels to my brother and now I'm sporting the v-6 3 spoke wheels. I'm literally embarrased to drive it. I feel as I was wearing nice pants, shirt, tie and with WHITE Tenis shoes. So I need to buy wheels NOW!!! I've thought about buying some common wheels but I just can't get over that fact that everybody has them. Would you pay $2000 for a set of these wheels, either or? 17x8(no lip up front) and 18x9(deep lip out back). If not, what substitutes look good?

Now see this is where i'm different than most; The rivits just kill a rim for me, I like the completely clean look no rough edges or rivits. I do however like the 5 spoke look. and I also like the deep dish rears and the flush faced fronts.

i think the 2nd ones look unbelivable! however i would NOT stagger them because it will look terrible...IMO staggering is really only if your using huge wheels and its harder to tell the difference...if i was you i'd get the 18x9 BOOST's all around, and if they make like 18x10 or somethin like that, i'd get those for the back...

I'd pay $2K for a set of wheels if they were truely unique, fit the car in terms of looks, and fit the car in terms of true fitment. Picking wheels is HARD as many wheels look good by themselves, but horrible on our cars. It took me over 2yrs to decide on wheels for my car. I for one LOVE rivets on wheels IF THEY ARE REAL, I hate the fake ones. My wheels have rivets but they are real as my wheels are a true multi-piece design. I have to unscrew them everytime I polish the wheels.

That last set looks killer. Check into BC forged, Boyd Coddignton(sp), Intro, Budnik(sp), etc for some very cool semi-custom wheels too. I like none ford wheels on our cars IF they look good and fit the "attitude" for lack of a better term of the car.

STP, which wheels are those?

I've been searching for so long for wheels and really didn't need them to prepare for when I did. Now I and can't decide. I really want something that has a deep dish. Some rivets do look nasty but they look awesome on the second set. I'm tired of the cobra wheels or the bullits. I want something different but not nasty looking.

I was going to sell them to him but he just found out he wasn't going to get any $$ for his income, so I just let him have them. I guess this will help me speed up the process of buying new wheels.

95vert i agree as far as rivets, i think they kill the look of any rim. the 2nd wheel is sick but the rivets just destroy it. rivets belong holding on a bumper or a window motor, not on wheels. dont bash me, just my opinion.

I don't think I'd pay $2k for some wheels, but I love those friction ones. They'd only look good on certain colors though. Those on a completely blacked out SN would be gorgeous.

I think you'd have a bit more than 2 grand in a set of CCW's or Fikse's, stprorolla. They are freakin awesome wheels though.

I've seen the deep dish fr's and don't like the way they look chrome on a red car. I really want d/d, but since I don't have the cash right now, I'll probably get the REAL saleens($200 each at tire rack). I saw them in person and they are so shiney.

ccw classics are about 2400 in 18's with 10's out back. They're really not that expensive. Fikse will run you more though, upwards or 3k and more. Don't get ccw classics though, I am.

personally, i wouldn't pay $2G's for rims--but i'd definately go deep dish! that's easily top 3 favorite things about my car--deep dish rear wheels.

i guess if you wanna have unique rims, you gotta spend more. i got all four of my wheels for a total of $410 (rear new, front used, plus $ for tires, but 410 ain't bad at all!) but they're bullitts--lord knows i'm not the only mustanger w/ bullitts, hehe.
