I sold Hack Job & picked up an 04 Cobra

Very nice. Don't let anyone tell you it was the wrong thing to do, thats a real nice clean car. 600 rwhp should be a lot of fun on the street.

Thank you. I won't. I had more fun building Hack Job then driving/showing it. I had my fun with it at car shows, Woodward etc. I got really lucky selling a 27 year old car with a drivetrain that was 20 years newer...especially in the middle of winter. I just hope I can hook this thing up. I have some 275's I'm gonna try. But I'm thinking of skipping those and buying some 10.5" replicas and going 315.

Well even though you sold all your fox bodied Stangs, make sure you continue to stick around in 5.0 talk!

Thanks. I'm not going anywhere. You are ALL a great group of people and I enjoy talking with ALL of you. I'll do an other fox body sometime in the future.

Congrats bud.

I probably wouldn't have done it myself, but I don't paticularly love 2003 Cobras, just like them. Glad you got the car you wanted though.

Thanks 25th!!

NO FOX

NO CARE.

:(

:spit:

You should picked up a motor and drivetrain from a wrecked 03 and swapped it into hack job

I tried buying a wrecked 03 in November to do that swap. It went for too much money though. Plus, then I would have had a ton into Hack Job, and less face it, the car is still an 81, no matter what motor is in it.

You don't have to have a 5.0 or fox body to be included...look at Laser for heavens sake! :nice:

HAHA. Yeah, Laser is in every forum. Nothing wrong with that.

!!!!love termis! so fast so fast got to drive one from 60 to 80mph fastest thing ive ever touched...
hack job was nice but so is the termi..even though i dont know you that well i can say from reading your post i saw this coming lol....you get tired of projects(once they are all done!) then they just become a unreliable/constantly tweaking driver (from my past experience. this worries me cause i am getting kind of tired of seeing my fox eat my money and even with my mods only a 13second car!! which is fast but a lets face it a termi is that sick stock and a hell of a lot smoother in all other aspects
good swap dont leave the 5.0 talk side though, i have tried other car forums and they just arent the same as the guys/gals in 5.0 talk except the previous fox owners that have crossed over lol

Thanks. I'm not leaving 5.0L Talk. This is the best forum on Stangnet. I never had problems with Hack Job, I just figured that the offer was something I could NOT refuse. This economy is horrible and this was the only call I got on the car in 2 months. October-December is all it took.

You've been trying to sell Hack Job for 3 months and you didn't say anything?!?!Q?Q? :fuss:

Yeah....:hide: I didn't want to say anything until FOTY took place. I didn't know if not owning the car would bump me out of the poll. But it didn't stand a chance anyways. I also wanted to get my Termi before saying anything as well. Gotta give some good news with the bad right? :D

Congratulations, Matt. Looks like a worthy exchange, mate.

Thanks Tim!!

I am a diehard fox fan, but termi's are right up there with them for me and I'll own one some day. Besides, fox's are everywhere and they're cheap. Just be sure to park another one beside that termi someday. :nice:

Me too, me too. I have had 4 foxes that I have rebuilt and two 96-97 Cobras. I just figured that I have worked SO hard building project cars, I might as well treat myself to what I really wanted with some of the profit.

Nice upgrade! Torch Red is my favorite color on the newer stangs. Thats the color my mach 1 was though so I may be biased. I've test driven 3 termis and put a hold it for me down payment on 1 before I got my mach and man are they fun to drive. Ones I drove were stock though not with 600rwhp :rlaugh: Should be fun...enjoy

Matt...

Got Your message the day after Christmas. Sorry i didn't hit you back, i've been extremely busy traveling, then house shopping all day along with a ton of other things. I couldn't find an hour where i could just sit down and we could BS some, none the less i'll get on the horn tomorrow brother and give ya a ring :nice:

The car is BEAUTIFUL. That color is the reason I painted my old Notch Torch Red. You know i absoutely loved Hack, but dude, i'd sell anything for a Terminator.. Well for the right price! You got the right price for Hack IMO, and I would have done the same thing. I'm looking forward to checking this baby out come Woodward. I talked to my wifey and she's totally down for a road trip out. I'll be driving blue balls obviously and while i'm sad i won't be able to see Hack, i'm excited to check out the Terminator. I have never even ridden in one let alone drive one haha!! Congrats man, she's a beautiful!!! :nice::nice:

Thank you. The red really is growing on me more and more. I never cared for red too much in the past, but after my Dad got his GT500 in red, I love it. IT is fun to drive and hell...I've only driven this thing in the rain/icy mess. It sucked, but hey...I needed to pick this thing up before someone else did.

No problem. I had a 3-4 hour car ride home with this thing, so I was bored, that's why I called you. I talked to all my friends on that drive home...haha. I figured you were busy. I have had 4 Christmas parties with the family, and I ran myself down. I have a touch of the flu right now. I'm extremely sore, chills, fever...etc. It really sucks. I'm staying home from work tomorrow.

Thanks for the compliment Coupe!! Torch red is good looking. It will be much easier to keep up on than the 96. I couldn't tell the buyer no on Hack Job when I found out what he wanted to pay, so Termi I went!! :nice: I'm upset you won't be able to see Hack in person, but this car is much better anyways. You two will enjoy it around here during the cruise. It's a lot of fun. I rode in a Termi one time about 2 years ago, but it had a solid axle and seemed a bit beat on, so I wasn't impressed. This car rides unbelievable and it's the first car I've had with no creeks, rattles and noises in the interior...haha. The interior has never been armoralled or anything. It still has the flat look to the interior, and smells new. The first time I drove a Termi was this one. I barely got it off the guys property there was so much snow and ice. His street was an ice rink. I thought I was gonna get stranded. I gotta get this thing on dry, hot pavement. I still think it will be out of control though.

The only thing I don't like is that it is so new, I'm gonna be a bit paranoid about it. My 96 has imperfections here and there, and hell I bought it wrecked, so I'm not so paranoid about the 96. But regardless, I'm driving this 04. It's not gonna be a garage queen.
