I think i finally found the combo to cool my car down!

I finally had a chance to drive my car since the wife and baby were gone for the day. I did the usual route i normally do.My car would reach about 180* and rise to about 190*ish.I had my downpipe and headers coated and also replaced my 35gpm Meziere pump with a 55 gpm water pump.On the same route, getting on it a few times it reached 160* and then i let it idle for about 20 miutes and it stayed at about 145ish with the hood closed.It used to reach 190* idleing.Now i know it was coooler day, but still, this is way cooler then it ran before.Tormorrow i'll drive it mid day before i jump for joy

Oh yeah, down pipe temp last time was 375* painted and 142* coated.

Awesome news. At lest you have some. Dynoed Daves today and the damn Tial couldn't even control the boost on his tiny 302. Done using their stuff.

my a/f is still wayy off according to the wideband.At cruise its at 13.5, under a load its 14.5+

If it's not bucking above 14.5 with a load, gonna guess it's off.

It's great that you have the temperature under control. Not sure why you want it so cold. The engine will wear out pretty quickly that way.

I suppose with a big turbo and making a lot of power wearing out the rings/cylinders is the least of your worries.

I doubt i will ever sit anywhere in So Cal for 20 minutes, but the idea is to get to run cool then i could put a t-stat or restrictor if i needed too.
