Ok i want to tear down a 5.0 and build it back up. WHat year should I get? I mean which would be easiest? I like the looks of the 79 but who knows... ALso how much dough should i save up for a project of this magnatude

imo i think the 79 is fugly. but the 85-86 is pretty nice and i like the 87-93 fox's. i have seen a couple nice four eyes on here. what do you mean you want to build it back up? like a frame off restoration?

Not a big 4-eyed fan myself, but you can get them cheap. Also, do you want carb setup for EFI? That makes a huge difference. My fav is 87-91. Stick with the forged pistons in those years. Plus, these are nicer than the 4 eye's but you'll pay a little more. Good Luck!

Lets see. Abundance of 87-93 Parts. If you want the SN95 Parts with the 5.0 engine go 94/95. It has a very nice interior compared to the foxes. 79-86 also look awesome. Some of them are emissions exempt. Go with which one suits you best. I chose the 94/95 because of the comfortable interior/4 wheel discs/air bags standard/5 lug. Also very easy to mod and very cheap to mod.

what do you mean you want to build it back up? like a frame off restoration?

I meant more or less just like tearing the motor down to nothing but a short block and building it back up with performance stuff. And possibly extioror painting and interior work too, racing seats new headliner or whatever it needs.

As far as the 94/95 i heard that they are like the worst out of the 5.0s because they have suck small enging bays. I have a 98 cobra and i know for sure that there's not exactly a ton of room in there.
