Well i wont be able to go anywhere for spring break in a few weeks so i thought it would be nice to try to plan something for when school is done in april. Maybe hawaii or somewhere nice/exotic like that. Where or how should i go about getting a nice cheap(if even possible:p ) price? Are there any other locations that are more "low key" (read:cheaper) but just as nice that u guys have been?

If you wanted to stay continental .... honestly, I'd go to FL. I hear it's been like 70 degrees in Tampa.

Florida or cali or somewhere would be cool. I would prefer somewhere more exotic or just more "away" from what i see everyday.

I'll be 21 and i know here in michigan ya gotta be 25 i think to rent a car. Anyone know what hawaii is? Or any other nice resort type place is? Drinking is not a major concern...i dont drink now and neither does my gf. So being able to do that or any other drug really isnt a deciding fact. Renting a car would be nice though, but depending on the place, im sure isnt a must.

I guess my want is to go somewhere and everday wake up and say "wow" Know what i mean?

Hawaii, Wy Kee Kee, (dunno how to spell, but that's how it sounds) was a sweet place, i went with the fam one summer when i was like 9, n the water was crystal clear! it was sweet.

Yea thats my first pick i think. I was watchin the Pro Bowl and was just . Been wanting to go somewhere for a long time...now its time i think. Does anyone know of the laws there? Im assuming they are the same as here in the states.

I guess the main point of my post was to see if there were any other places that were nice like hawaii but cheaper or just a better buy all together.

EDIT: Just did a quick search and found one place that had a checklist for 21-24 and then 25+. So im gonna email them to see the exact differences. Maybe there is an extra insurance cost for being 21-24.

Nate, I've been to Hawaii and I'm glad I went as its was absolutely beautiful and amazing that it is part of this country, but I'll probably never go back. It was the most expensive place I have ever been, and the flight absolutely killed me. It was a 9hr flight from Detroit to Honolulu. We spent like 3 days there and then went to Maui and stayed in (sp)Kannapalli. It was very cool in that we were there when the humpback whales were in the migration there. Honestly for the money that trip cost me I could have gone to Europe. I went to Europe last year with my wife and her parents and it was amazing. We went to Italy and France, and Italy was absolutely amazing. I woke everyday and said WOW! It was the most amazing thing I have experienced walking around Rome on roads and paths that are 1000's of years old. My favorite place to go on vacation is Aruba. Its not a lush jungle/tropical island, its actually a desert but the people are the nicest of anyone I have ever met in my travels, they speak english (which is nice for me as I'm your typical dumb ass american that speak any other language), they take american money so you don't have to worry about exchange rates and such, and there is the perfect amount of activities IMO for a vacation. There are just enough so that you don't get bored, yet there are not so many things that if you sit around on the beach all day you won't feel as though your missing anything. Europe was the opposite, it was not a relaxing vacation as you were always on the move and you really were missing out if you tried to just lay around and relax. Hawaii was similar to Aruba in terms of the type of vacation it was, but the landscape was beautiful in a different sort of way. I've only known one person that went to Aruba and didn't like it, but they thought it was a tropical island which its not.

Thanks for your input Paul, i was hoping you would chime in. I definately want to go to Europe at some point, but i want this trip to be more of a relaxing and enjoy ourselves kind of trip. I figured Hawaii is more on the expensive side so thats why i asked if there were any other places similar that would achieve the same thing...but for a smaller price tag. I'll have to look into Aruba. :nice:

Hey Paul, i just did a quick search about Aruba. I LIKE WHAT I SEE! Especially a trip on a 1200hp boat! Did you go on that?

How did u go about planning the trip? Did u get a package or something? Which hotel did u stay at? Mind me asking how much the trip cost ya and how much extra spending cash u needed?

Thanks man
