Hi,

I have a 66 with a 289, non power drum brakes, non power steering, automatic. I want to replace my single master cylinder with a later model dual master cylinder (for safety reasons). Some time in the future, I would like to add disk brakes, and perhaps add power to those disk brakes.

Is there a dual master cylinder that I could buy and install now on my non-power drum/drum setup, that would be applicable when I make the switch to disk, or even power-disk, sometime in the futer.

And is there anything else that I have to change? Thanks

if you are planning a swap to power brakes, do so now and change the m/c at the same time. you can use a disc/drum m/c on the power booster with an add on residual check valve(10 psi) on the disc side untill you swap to disc brakes at which time you remove the check valve.

what mc should i buy? Maverick? Mustang? Something else? and what residual valve??
I'm new at this...sorry for all the questions
