Hi, Get a chance to take the wheel of my car and shoot some pictures for some help in ID this brake set-up. It is suggested before it might come from a Thunderbird Turbocoupe and the quads mounting points will have to be moved, looking at it,seems to be still in the same stock locations, but the quad shock is almost flat to the ground ( The car is lower, don't know if thats what causing it ).

Thanks for any help

Kin.

Hmmm looks like it could be a Turbo Coupe set up or possible from a 93 Cobra.

those are the only two possibilities I can think of...they look similar to the newer style calipers from the SN95's, and i believe that's what they used for the '93 Cobra...

I thought the 93 Cobra's were 5 lug They did make a 93 Mustang with a 4 lug disc break option maybe that's what it is. I think all the thunderbirds were 5 lug

nahh, the '93 Cobras were indeed 4 lug...the only 5 lug 'stangs were SVO's, and Saleens...

and the turbo coupe t-birds were also 4 lug (they shared alot of parts with the Mustang)

agreed on the turbo coupe. The only 93 cobra that was 5 lug was the R. I will make sure I look closer next time

Deff. a Turbo coupe/'93 Cobra rear disk setup. They used the same parts. My buddy put the exact same setup on his '88.

They look like SN95 rear calipers bcause they basically are.

The bridge of the caliper is different, but the caliper is almost identical to the 38mm Varga caliper used on all SN95's

EVERY 94-04 Mustang uses the same rear calipers. GT CObra, MAch, V6 all the same caliper. Only the bridges are different.

I beleive the t-bird/93 cobra rear caliper is the same way

Thank you ! Everyone,I think it is almost 100 % match for a T-bird rear disc setup. I don't believe it is a aftermarket ( SSBC or even a Motorsport rear disc system ). I am the third owner of this car and it seems the last 2 owner never really put money into it. The radiator still have the stock factory clamp on it. It is a shame for it is a nice looking car.
