idles (barely) but won't rev at all???

jadedinpa - Can you tell me the process to swap the PIP module? It seems like you just got a whole new dizzy instead of just a new PIP. Let me know cuz i think this coulld be my problem also.

obviously you have to remove the distributor. then it's just a matter of unbolting it. i'm going to check with ford tomorrow (if i remember) to see if it's available as a replacement part, and how much it is. if it's less than $10 (or close thereabouts) i'll buy it and give a more detailed installation procedure. what problems are you having?

Thanks, My problems arent' the same as your's but I read somewhere that the PIP module could almost maybe possibly be the cause of my problem. I have a pinging issue that won't go away and lately every once in a while my car will just die at ilde unless I keep revving it (even when the engine's warm). I'm trying to figure out if its worth work to replace the PIP (which is cheap) or just save up for a new distributer.
