Why does the AIC tube go into the discharge tube after the AIT sensor and so close to the TB but the vortech dumps it back into the powere pipe/inlet tube and re-compresses it....can the vortech be hooked up that way or must you weld a tube to the discharge tube to make it work?

I'm not sure I know what you are talking about. Mine is setup the way you described the Vortech.

AIC...IAC?
AIT...IAT?

My IAT is located by the MAF in the fenderwell, The IAC tube goes to the discharge on mine, and the vent for the PCV goes to the inlet tube on the supercharger. Do you have a picture to illustrate what you are talking about?

yes...the tube on the paxton goes in the discharge tube...the tube from the IAC on the vortec, it goes back throught the supercharger (inlet tube)

vortec...no tube...goes in the powerpipe/inlet tube

Interesting.... It almost looks like a Procharger setup in that first pic you posted. I'm wondering the same question as you. Why are the hoses connected after the air has been compressed. Seems like you would get alot more air pressure going through those lines.....
