The new GTOs on the other hand, I could make love to them.

I finally switched to the Dark Side, (sort of). I still have the '69 Fastback, and the '01 GT is doing fine. The '95 GT Vert was getting tired so I traded it in this past Monday. What is the new toy? A 2001 Corvette ZO6 Torch Red in color, with 19,000 miles. This is one of the most incredible cars I've ever driven and surely the best I've ever owned. This thing is just amazing.
My wife and I were planning for the last few months to Purchase an '05 GT. We went to a few dealers and finally drove one on Sunday. It have a noted power increase over the '01 GT but I think it still needs more power. It felt nice but just didn't compare in looks or performance. If anyone is considering an '05GT I'd suggest driving a ZO6. Purely amazing.
Keep in mind I still have Blue in my blood but I like the feel of the red bowtie getting in there.

But the most awesome factory muscle car imho is the 1968 SS/ rs Camaro in black. With blacked out windows of course. Just plain bad.
