Well, 6 months since I sold the 66 Coupe and as of today I am back in the game except with something a little newer.

See post.

I bought an 02 Saleen S281E # 13 with 4,500 miles. The "E" is the top of the line supercharged S281 for that year which is rated at 425HP, racecraft suspension, 6 speed etc.

It is Torch Red with Black wheels which set it off well.

I'll post pics over in the Saleen area when I have a chance. Hope all my classic buddies are doing well.

PS - The old 66 347ci coupe is under the excellent care of a buddy of mine and is currently in the body shop getting some new metal, fiberglass hood / bumpers, he put all new interior in it, rack & pinion steering, front disc brakes and just had the motor freshened with a little more agressive cam, custom carb. It should dyno close to 575HP and I expect it should get close to running in the high 10's, still all motor.

Take Care,

Todd

Welcome back old-timer!

You planning on putting many miles on #13?

Daily driver on clear dry days, otherwise the old 01 Supercrew Lariat 4X4 will be carrying on business as usual. I'll probably do 5 to 7K per year with the truck taking up the rest.

My drive to work is all two lane blacktop 28 miles one way through the hills of Missouri so it should be fun.

WashMo..How long before it gets a cage ? :)
No really. I think I remember those things running mid 11's right ?
Glad to see you still hanging around. See ya couldn't stay away long.

No cage yet, it's only got 5K miles on it for Petes sake!!!!

Let me get over 10K on it and then we'll start cutting it up.:D

Factory figures that I have found and feedback I have recieved shows the "E" cars for 02 running low 12's on street tires and getting into very high 11's on slicks. I believe it based on my initial seat of the pants feel, the car runs really well and has incredible power. Albeit, different delivery than the 347ci in the coupe (hold on a-hole!!), but definitley can hold it's own on the street.

BLAH BLAH BLAH. Throw it up on jackstands and pull a Ferris Bueler. :D
Boy there are alot of people glad I don't own a Shelby. I'd do with it what it was meant for. RACE
Hope you have a blast. They are beautiful cars.
