Im broke down on the side of the ****ing road with catastrophic engine problems

Im on a laptop on the side of the ****ing highway in NC, that click I had been hearing all of a sudden turned into a loud clanking while driving on the highway, almost sounding like a vlave slapping the piston, my mechanic is closed, and I am supposed to be in Myrtle Beach for mustangweek in a few hours, and of course I spend the whole year preparing my car for this week, and some kind of catastrophic engine failure happens. The clicking sounds like its coming from the intake manifold area when I put a pipe up to it to listen, I hear it from there but not from the valve covers. A local guy said he thinks something is broken in the cam reigon. This sucks so much balls, all I wanted was to have my car working for this week, and this **** happens, Im definetley not going to have it now. ****!

I understand your pain. My buddy and I took his car to VA. last year and on the way home at 1 a.m. going up a mountain in the middle of nowhere in PA, his tranny let loose. Cost him $1100 to get the car home.

I am going to guess and I feel almost sure it is the same thing that happened to me. On my new engine with the ported e7 heads (b4 the TFS heads we added) one of my rocker arm BOLTS BROKE!!! Sounded JUST like your problem. It was driveable but lost BIG time power on the hills. I made it home and found th ebolt snapped off INSIDE the head!! They shipped me a new head and all go again.:nonono:

P.S. Hope you get home alright man.

man that really sucks I hope its something small I believe you might have a broken rocker arm from your description but you would need to take off the valve covers to see whats making that sound the clicking sound might be the lifter just jumping around if your rocker arm did break Good Luck
