Im dumb, how do I wash my car?

yeah man...just leave it dirty. LOL, dont catch a cold man.

That’s what I do. It's to cold to wash it this time a year. I always do the complete paint care in October, paint cleaner, polish, then wax. I haven’t washed my car since then. Come March or April I will wash her and then I will do the three-step wax process to clean the paint. During the spring and summer I was her every week. I can’t wait to try out my new porter cable car buffer that I got for Christmas come spring.

my wash system will run to 27 degrees and then i'm i done for. heaters in the tunnel can't keep up with the wind from the blowers pulling in cold air at the end. it snowed here yesterday creating a humorous city wide panic!! i actually had 50 something customers while it was coming down

My Mach stays in the garage, so it rarely gets dirty since I dont DD it. when it gets a little dusty, or slightly dirty, I break out the quick detailer & Microfiber towels:D

It doesnt get below 45-50 degrees here in the daytime so its not a problem when I do have to wash my cars though...

I need to do another major detail/wax on both of my cars soon....

shoot, just leave it dirty. My car reminds of most of the dirty v6 mustangs you see out there. Aka, the people who dont give a **** about there mustang. Yes, there are some dirty gt's and cobras, but i see dirty v6's all the time in the summer. Dont get me wrong.. i know there are v6 owners out there that take care of there car also. Now that its winter my lazer red paint looks greyish red... its dirty as heck from all the salt and road dirt.

I hate leaving my car dirty. I just think it reflects on me. In the summer time, i clean it once a week and always wipe the wheels down every 3-4 days.

I'm the kind of person that hates seeing someone drive a $50K+ Mercedes or BMW and the front wheels are BLACK from brake dust. How can you spend so much on a car and not care?

I will answer your question.

I didn't read more then about 10 replies but...

Wash it as normal.... then go to a mall with underground parking. go shopping, have lunch... whatever.

If that doesn't work, just dry the rubber weather stripping on the doors so they open after.

Trust me, I know...

I just washed my car today and it's -42 celcius (not sure what that is in ferenheit (sp)

no problems at all...

Hope this helps.

I know what you mean. I like to keep it clean and one of the reasons is people looke at the car and treat the car like is some old POS when its dirty and always give compliments and are careful around it when its shiney and clean.. It was dirty when that old lady parked her Grand Marquie against it  But I also look at these 50-70K high end cars always spotty and black front wheels and it pisses me off how little regard they have for a nice piece of machinery like that. If I had a 7 series or S class you would be able to eat off the tires:rlaugh:

Just read the first post on second page and holly cow -42 C in F isnt that like -100? I didnt know it got that cold in Canada :jaw:

yeah it gets stupidly cold here...

I'm not telling tall tales either, your skin freezes in like 30 seconds if not covered some days.

and some times with the wind chill it has gotten into the -50's (but that is really rare)

I should move.

I bet the 'stang hates me to no end... poor thing. :(

Yea holy crap thats rediculous my car would be very very dirty and probobly wouldn't start. it's supposed to be 40 here tomorrow I think I'll wash my car! :D

98% of cars here are filthy, because if they are washed and not wiped down or dried the doors freeze, or the locks freeze, and with either, you can't get in.

also 90% of cars get plugged in with a block heater (if people don't know what that is, it's a small heater that goes in a freeze plug and heats up the coolant and block) without that, most of the cars will not turn over.
