As we celebrate the birth of our nation today, I would ask that everyone take a moment to remember our brave servicemen and servicewomen who are forward deployed and selflessly protecting our freedoms and way of life.
Either give our boys and women all they need to do the task or get them home.
No matter what, let them know you haven't forgotton them. Lots of things you can find to assist in that online. Do it for your country, your service people, American pride or even out of selfishness, but do something to show them they matter to their fellow Americans.

Not interested in this thread turning into a debate about the rightness or wrongness of what we're doing in Iraq or Afghanistan. After two tours in Iraq and nearly thirty years in the Corps I have reached the stage where I know that I cannot be unbiased or unemotional about what's going on over there, or my support for the cause.
I just wanted everyone to take a moment to remember those brave men and women who are taking the fight to the bad guys.
