guys what exactly is "drone" and what causes it?

is it that sweet spot where to car will hum and rattle your ears???
mine does it at like 2200-2300

Yep, that's it. I don't mind mine. I prefer the sound of Borla XR-1's, but who can afford those?

If you want something bad enough, you will do whatever it takes to save for them, maybe even sell something you have that don't really need, to get it. I sold all my saturdays this whole summer for side jobs, and guess what for? Edelbrock RPM heads!!!!!! YEA BABY - and i don't miss them saturdays for a minute, cuz its saturday nights that count anyway, and now i have Aluminum Heads -

Working on Saturdays wouldn't be a bad thing and believe me when I graduate from physical therapy school, I will be doing some freelance work in nursing homes for 40 bux an hour and I will have a lot of stuff. Right now, school taked precedence and with that I'm busy 6 days a week.

I have two cars that are too loud for my wife. She has ridden the the Capri because it was the family car for the first 15 years we owned it. The 82 Mustang has headers, 3 ft of pipe and Flowmaster Super 40's. She has used all the above lines, I can hear you coming, I don't want to ride in it, I don't want to drive it, etc. After 28 years of hot rods, she has given up on the money. If I can find or steal the money, its mine to spend on the car.

She was the same way about boats, until, we got an old Waverunner.

She loved it!

So now we have a brand new 05 Waverunner!

Just for her!!!! (As long as she believes that, I'm ok with it)

I can just put her on it, back it in and let it slide off the trailer, and she's happy!

Majically, she learned to dock it and even ride it back on the trailer.

Women are manageable, but it does take some creativity!!!!

My car used to be pretty loud with no cats and mac mufflers. Now I have a single turbo with single 3" exhaust and a dynomax ultra flow. It sounds good but is now nice and quiet. Definitely recommend a turbo and that muffler if you want to be faster and quieter!
