Install intake/TB/MAF now or wait for heads and cam?

Need opinions-

I plan on getting some heads and a cam (Still undecided which ones-any suggestions are welcome. I'd like the strongest NA combo possible for a daily driver) to go with an Edelbrock Performer RPM/70mm TB/76mm MAF. It'll probably be a year before I do because I started graduate school and my funds are really tight. Would the shorter runner length RPM kill my low end torque tremendously? How would my engine perform throughout the RPM range if I went ahead and installed everything? My current mods are in sig.

Thanks-

Hmm I take it you already have the Edelbrock RPM intake, 70mm T body and C&L 76 mm MAM?

If I knew it were going to be a year... i'd probably not be able to help myself... and would end up putting all the stuff on. Even with stock heads the three things added all at once will probably give you 15 HP or so. I read once [think it was 5.0 & Super Fords mag] that on a bone stock motor and aftermarket intake is only good for about 8 RWHP..

Or you could wait, cause you're just going to tear it all apart again once yo buy heads and a cam. And instead, you could just add the bigger T Body and MAM for now. Free up the intake tract a little..

Oh yeah,

It would kill off some of your bottom end throttle response... but with your 3.73s and close ratio 5 speed box, you wouldn't feel the loss like a stock T-5 w/ 2.73s or 3.08s guy would.

Actually thinking about it i'd leave the intake till you do the heads and just put the T body and MAM on.
