As I said in another thread, think about how much air moves through your CAI's intake pipe and how fast it's moving and then tell me if you think it can really be absorbing much heat. Besides if the airflow WAS absorbing heat, the CAI pipe would be COOL, not hot as most people say.
BTW: For what it's worth, my K&N FIPK (CAI) gave me 3rwhp on the dyno.
