Installed my Bassani axle-back today, Not what I expected!

Got my axle back today in the mail and installed them I must say Ford made it very easy to swap mufflers. They went in easy but definately are not lined up in the notches of the rear valance. I'm pretty sure I just have to loosen the clamps mid-way under the car then tweak them into the center. I just thought the Bassani would be louder than they were. I listened to this audio clip http://www.sonicbluenirvana.com/funwithbassani.wmv but just didn't think they sounded like this. Maybe it's just the audio is louder when taped. Will they break in and get louder??? I dont need it super loud but they just didn't impress me. I was trying to get close to the sound of my Stangs of the 90's with Flows. What can I do add an H-pipe? Any advice guys.

My Bassani's with JBA long tubes and catted h-pipe were so loud I removed them.

Well, loudness is subjective. The car already has an H-Pipe... I think you just wanted it louder that most.

I imagine an h-pipe would be louder than an x-pipe. Plus, if he's going for the 90's sounding mustang, the h-pipe is probably the way to go.

Probably need the resonator tips to cut down on the drone. User adjustable to make them quiet w/ full muffler or open it up for full bypass.

It has a factory H pipe, but they make high-flow catted H pipes, and off road h pipes, that make a huge difference.

I have Bassani cats x-pipe and axle back and I love the sound. It has a nice rumble but not to loud at idle and at WOT it's just mean. You can hear it real well here:

I was thinking of these, but now I dont know. They are louder than stock arent they? Are they as loud as the Flowmaster axleback?

At WOT they are loud as hell. At idle they are not loud but sound great. Like a classic muscle car. I can't tell you how many complements I get on them. Click on my link in my earlier post to hear them.

I have a movie of someone with a Bassani x-pipe and Flowmaster 40 series mufflers on their GT. It definitely sounds louder than the movie I have of someone with a Bassani X-pipe and Bassani mufflers.
