Insurance help stat!

SO, a lady hit my truck while my now ex girlfriend was driving it, left the insurance info, now I have my truck back. The truck is REGISTERED in my name, but INSURED in hers.

Ex girl told me "you picked the truck up, now it's your problem"

Option 1 is call teh lady who hit the truck, ask for cash (it's a raggity ass dodge) and tell her to cancel the claim.

What else can I do? It's not insured in my name does anyone know if I'll have problems getting paid for it?

Are you the titled owner? If so, YOU are the only one who can get paid from the Ins. Co. anyways.

If she is on the title, then you may want to take the route of a cash transaction since any settlement would go your ex.

I'd let the Ins. Co. of the lady that hit the truck pay for everything.

Has the other lady's Ins. Co. looked at the vehicle yet?

Yea the truck is titled and registered to me, and only insured to her. She tried to say the truck wasnt running right and not to take it back yet to hide the fact of the damage, and never called the lady about getting it fixed. Insurance company hasnt looked at it yet.

You should be fine if you are able to contact the lady then. The titled owner is the only person the insurance will pay.
