Hey Guys,
Here's what I am wondering. At this point my 5.0 doesn't really have that many mods on it, but it will down the road. I am looking into buying an upper/lower intake and i'm not sure which one to get. I was going to get the cobra intake, but if I eventually do too many mods I might have to swap it out anyway. I am looking at the Trick Flow Street Heat intake setup. The only thing that bugs me about that is that the TB opening is 75mm. If I put that on my for the most part stock car will that hurt my performance or will there be no problem, just not as much of a gain without the other mods? Thanks in advance.

Don't worry about the 75mm opening because your TB is whats going to flow not the opening. It should hurt your performance but you won't see as much of a gain as it's potential because of the stock heads but once you change heads and cam so you can get some airflow then she'll wake up

Do you have a plan and know your mods for the future? The Cobra and Explorer intakes are good for 350-400HP. Maybe look for an explorer intake and do a little work to it?

The GT40/cobra/Explorer are great options for a stock and mid built motor. You can get it ported if needed later on too. Another good option is the Edelbrock Performer intake. All of the intakes above will improve your power without killing your low end. TFS/Holley/Performer RPM will pretty much kill your low end torque without a set of heads to back them up.
