The car will dle wherever you set the it at. No the R is not to big for a 347 but you'll need a nice cam to benefit from it. My mild 347 makes good power and torque with the R but I will be getting a better cam this summer. The Track Heat and stage 2 cam work well together for a street car.

will the pistons have to be notched or something with the stage 2 tfs cam? Oh and curious about the main stud gurdles, and roller rocker choice. 1.7, 1.6?? and I'm thinking of getting a tweecer rt down the road for tuning...

Use the R intake and a custom cam for the 347. Don't use a stg2 cam and a track heat intake. It will make weak power, remember, those are 302 parts. You do not need a spacer with stock valve covers and the R intake.

If you go with a custom cam, speak to him about which intake to get to match your goals.

With the track heat heads, r series intake manifold, 75mm tb, and 80 mm mass air meter, on a 347, isn't there a non-custom, off the shelf cam, that would match these parts pretty well, anyone have the same setup with a cam that they like... and what type of roller rockers should I get. 1.6's?

I want the car to be streetable... maybe an mild-aggresive cam... that would work well with a r series intake manifold and track heat heads... 36lbs injectors...

Anderson Ford N-91 would be a good cam for that setup if you want a OTS cam.
I am running a Stg 2 cam with the same setup and for me its leaving alot on the table. I will be going custom cam soon in search for more power. My car make 361rwhp and 379rwtq with the Stg2 cam and the same setup your describing and has great driveability. I am running 1.6 TF rr's.

Custom is your best bet, if not an anderson n71 or n91 would make good power. You really don't have enough gear to take advantage of the n91 but it will probably be fine.

I know you do. Ideally, the n91 wants a 430-456 gear. But a 410 should be ok, just not ideal.

Signatures show up only on the first post. Thereafter, they don't

Getting a custom camshaft is very simple.

I went to Ed Curtis at www.flowtechinduction.com. Email him from the link in his signature.

Tell them what you have and what your goals are. He will tell you what will work and what will not work. After a few emails that are exchanged, you typically will send him some money, and he gets to working on your camshaft and other parts (heads, intake, gaskets, rockers, etc.) that you may or may not have ordered through him.

Check out the customer section on his webpage

a friend of mine had a stock block 347 with edelbrock heads, not the biggest ones anyway, with a china made copy of the edelbrock intake and throttle body, put 375 to the wheels. Don't know the torque
