I am planning on doing a small modification to my Mustang this winter but nothing to much since I am a college student. How much horse power would a intake plenum and 75mm throttle body give me if any? I have seen package deals were you get both ranging from as low as $200-$400:shrug: Would I notice a bigger difference with some pullies or even some shorty headers?

maybe 5-15rwhp depending on combo for a tb and plenum.

shorty headers you'll get flamed for by those that don't have them or for that matter don't have headers. but hte norm seems to be 5-15 rwhp I picked up 20rwhp not sure why though. But for the PITA of install I'd suggest LT's if you can get away with them.

Pullies - some get 0 some get 10rwhp not sure why the difference.

I wanted to get long tubes but I like the H-pipe I have right now and would hate to change it, so I figure I would be okay going with shorties. The reason I would get shorties is for the noise. i want it to be LOUD. It is already but it can always be louder:shrug:

My advice, go with Professional Products intake plenum/throttle body. I have the 75mm polished throttle body (got it for 100 shipped BRAND new), and then a non-branded "75mm" plenum which I port matched with the throttle body with my die grinder set (sanding/grinding stone and a dremel could do it too in 20 minutes rather than 10)... I got that peice for something like 70 bucks shipped!

shorties really don't make the car louder trust me I have shorties. Heck for that matter LT's don't I've heard the same car with stock manifolds and or hpipe and then with lt's or hpipe and it was the same.
The only reason I can see going shorties. 1. want to be able to put emissions equipment back on. 2. want to eaisly remove and install tranny. 3. like been the underdog. 4. proving others wrong in that shorties can make a decent rwhp increase.

If none of those apply go LT's.

All headers QUIET the exhaust, they do allow better airflow and at WoT will be louder but at idle it will be more mellow. I have BBK T/L Shorties. Minimal gains on an N/A setup I'm sure, but I'm still legal ;)

I would steer clear of the Professional Products stuff, too many pics of horrible quality to trust them. You get what you pay for. If you want a plenum and on the cheap go Dragon or C&L, I'd stick with the Accufab throttle body though as most plenum manu.s use the accufab with their plenum in tests.

Yeah Maybe I will wait till I can afford Long tubes and a new x-pipe, for headers, and ill probably just get the intake plenum and throttle body this winter or the pullies, maybe a tuner:shrug:

Thats why I got shorties, only had to buy the pipes. If you can get away with it for the life of the car, sure do LTs, but not every one can. You can also do what I do.... my spare bedroom is my "parts garage" I got about 1k of crap just sitting there waiting for me to buy the rest of the stuff... paid for a few hundred at a time.

i got the professional products polished 75mm and plenum. installation was easy and it seemed to help alot. i also have mac long tubes, pro chamber and cat back. my car is also lowered and i don't drag anywhere, just watch where u go.

IMO, I would stick with your plan, plenum and throttle body. I'm doing the same thing for my car this winter and made that decision according to my budget as well as tons of research. I made a plan for my car instead of sporadic purchases.
I'm going with the accufab combo. Out of all of em, I've heard the best responses and remarks about the acufabs. Although they are slightly more than the other kits including the dragon, hey, you get what you pay for. I plan on keeping my car for a long time and I never want to say, "man, shoulda spent that extra 100 bucks". I've done that before and it suks...

Good luck bud!
