Im looking for a decent preforming intake for a stocker. Its already got the cheap fix gears (4.10) but looking for a little more power with a intake/tb upgrade. Dont have the time for a h/c/i. This is just to have fun in for a while cause i wont get to spend much time in the car for the next 3 years. Cars gonna be used mostly as a dd.

A good ol' Cobra intake is always a worthy upgrade over a stocker anyday. Throwing that and possibly some 1.7 roller rockers on would give you probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 20HP over stock.

Gotta vote for the Explorer intake and PP elbow adaptor.
0.36sec quicker in the 1/4 with just an intake swap was well worth it to me.

If you can also look for an O/R H or X pipe, if you're letting more in you have to get ot out. Also the stocker TB is more then enough for what you have save the $$ for something else.

Do you know anyone who makes one beside magnaflow, dont feel like paying $500 for a catted mid pipe that goes to stock headers?

if you can get your hands on a GT-40 intake, that would be my first choice. But good luck becasue i am not sure that they still make it.

I think its by far the coolest looking intake. and it makes pretty good power. plus there aren't any issues with the egr like the 93 cobra intake.(94-95 cobras are kinda hard to find to) and you don't have to do a for t/b conversion if you just buy the elbow, which a lot of people do (don't know why, haven't seen actually proof that it works...gonna get bashed for that comment)

oh one draw back is that you have to remove strut tower brace. they sell a replacement brace that works with that intake though.

i am sure that there are cheaper or better intakes out there but i think gt-40 is the standard in the coolness factor. second only to the 5.0 roush intake. Not sure if thats at the top of your list of things you need out of your intake, but it was the kicker for me. plus the fact that mine only cost $200 because it was my brothers at one point.
