is it possible to bend the P/S shaft?

last year when i took the power steering pulley off, i was give the wrong puller when i rented one at the part store. so i ended up bending the pulley. found another one, fast forward a year later. i bought the correct pulley puller set, and go to put the new pulley on. i get about half way on and the thread strips for the piece going into the center of the p/s staft. i also noticed that, even though the pulley wasn't all the way on, it wasn't on straight. by spining the pulley it had a very slight wobble.
could the shaft be bent? and cause to much pressure while trying to put the pulley on strip the threads?

my budget is already at zero, so i'm ready to torch the mother****er. :notnice:

I've heard that is it possible to bend it. The center in mine is also stripped as the puller I last used was junk. It stripped it and I barely got it on.....or thought I go it on. Then I started shredding my serp belt cause it wasnt on all the way. And since the center was stripped I couldnt use the puller to put it on further. I resorted to beating it on with a hammer (obviously not a good idea but it was wrecked anyways) which actually worked and got it in line so the belt stopped shredding.

i'm sorry i cannot feed you mickydees, it's just not real food. i wouldn't mind feeding you Wendy's. lol and princeton is a hike, it's more than an hour hauling ass for me. what you wouldn't like coming to the Newark area, it is the largest city in NJ? and thats all i have to say about that. haha

i think i got it on all the way. i put the pulley on up until the back side of the shaft doesn't show any of the clean part. but the front isn't flush, from what i remember the shaft and the pulley was flush. i'll try and get a pic.

not the best pic, but you could see that the pulley is not 100% flush with the P/S shaft.
