Is it possible to smoke the tires in 3rd gear?

WOW! 4:30 gears with a 5-speed? That's hardcore. Do you have a 2.95 1st gear?

if a stock t5 tranny has that then yes i do. but soon i will have a tremec 3550 or a custom tranny with my t5 casing with new gears. not sure yet. my friend works at a tranny shop

Wow badlilstang, you have some monsters in your garage. It must take some serious torque to break 3rd gear loose.

Drunkinastang - I know what you're talking about with the clutch. I couldn't even chirp third with my stock clutch. With the King Cobra clutch I am now able to chirp third on the street.

As for the opinions...BOO!! HISS!!

Oh wow you're a shifting madman The stock T5 has a 3.35 1st gear in it. you might look into a 2.95 1st gear when you get your new tranny.

I was spinning tire at WOT in 3rd gear, at low RPM's to....on nitto DR's.. Then boom and bye bye HG! Tomorrow im getting it tuned though, so we will see what gears i can break the tires loose in for sure..

Damn dude, you blew the head gasket after I dared you to see if the tires would spin in third a couple weeks ago. Thats cool you got it running again though. I put a new (bigger) air filter on my car and I finally got my ties to spin in 3rd.Just barely spun though causeI still have the 3.08's.
