is it worth doing a mass air?

I have a 94 Cobra, all the mods are in my sig...

How much would I benefit from doing a 73mm mass air meter? Is it worth the $200+? Would a bigger mass air compliment my aftermarket throttle body and intake manifolds? Right now my car is putting 280 horses to the ground, my goal is 300 with the stock heads and n/a. I'm hoping to be up at 300 with a mass air, some longtubes, and a tune.

I just don't know if I wana spend $200 for a stupid little piece of metal. Can anyone tell me from first hand experience if its worth it?

your stock maf is 70mm, and its good until about the 300rwhp point. I would wait until you need one, and you dont yet.

P.S.-on our 94-95 eecs from the size posted I want to say its a C&L meter, they are the worst for driveability on our years. I would again vote stay stock.

You might get a gain but IMHO, it would be small.

I'd put the money toward a set of better flowing heads.

I'd also consider a PMAS over the C&L.

I know the C&L is cheaper
but
the maf is one place you don't wanna cheap out
and
all the more so for our cars
