This is actually for a friend, its a 90 GT. He is having trouble with his alt to starter solenoid wire getting very hot! He replaced the alternator its still getting hot. Weve messed around with it so long now the car wont start, dead batt. Its a red top optima! I hook the battery up to a battery chrager i have, and the DC Amps guage shoots to 15, it charges for about 2-3 min then my charger makes a click noise and its no longer charging. stays off for about 3-4 min and comes back on only to do the same thing over and over again. What is this a sign of, bad battery charger or bad battery?
