I can do a few summary reports here and there, so I decided to do this one out of curiosity. Last reported odometer reading 08-14-1987 with 11 miles. The car only has 29 historical reports, too.I'd take 73,000 miles with a grain of salt.
I tried to do a carfax on the VIN but couldn't do it without paying. Someone might have an account. It came up as 18 records. Of course, those could be change of owners and inspections, in which mileage might be recorded. But it would let you know it's it's a 73000 mile car or a 173000 miles car
I always take fox mileages as suggestions, I really care more about its condition than its mileage. I mean I don't want a clapped-out 302 or T5 but those are easier fixes than bodywork or rust repair.I'd take 73,000 miles with a grain of salt.

Thanks! I purchased the upholstery from CJPony and installed it myself. It was a pain with those hog rings but got it done. Those seats are awesome
I've learned that convertibles no one wants them and are a lot cheaper. I differ on that because I bought want and its a fun car to learn one. i have not tackled working on the convertible top. but when I do I heard its a pain in the butt or will just have Pro work on it.Also after looking verts are starting to grow on me
WOW!!!!!I think top replacement will probably vary depending on your area. I want to say 2-3k is pretty standard in St. Louis, although it's been a while since I checked it out.
you are right! I'm going to give it a shot!!! thxTops are easy...Factory marks inside the frame line up with marks on your new top. Get the DVD from LMR, and you will be an expert. I got one on Black Friday two years ago for $225. I was quoted two grand, and took the do it yourself plunge. Thats what your cars are for. Why pay, and add to the possible negative value of your car.
is this a Fox only price for Convertibles?? Any other time I have gotten quotes for a Convertible it is an ADD of 20% over a hardtop?? " The top goes down, the price goes up" is the common adage in the collector car market...I've learned that convertibles no one wants them and are a lot cheaper. Does anyone know how much the pros are charging to install a new top?
Or 273k even! Over 30 years old.I'd take 73,000 miles with a grain of salt.

The prices are higher, but if you keep looking you’ll find one. I just grabbed an almost all original ‘85 GT 5spd with 88k for about half that.So I regretfully had to sell my fox prior to getting divorced, now I’m in the hunt for another one and I kinda feel like the prices are a little nutty.
Is it possible to get a DD quality fox (hatch/coupe) V8/5spd for 10-12k?
There’s a red 85 hatch manual for sale but they want 26k… if this is simply the market then I guess I gotta keep stacking.
I’m not talking about perfect paint and low miles but just something I wouldn’t my driving and wrenching on.
I got my '93 GT from placing a wanted ad in my local Craigslist. Completely stock, one owner, one repaint, it could easily be a daily driver. $8500 and everything works! Be patient and look around, you'll find one. Always have cash available, because good deals don't stay around long.So I regretfully had to sell my fox prior to getting divorced, now I’m in the hunt for another one and I kinda feel like the prices are a little nutty.
