If your gauge is working properly, yes, there is something wrong.

Normal temps are in the 130*- 160* range.

I would suggest contacting your local Saleen Dealer, Joe @ Chicane or Eric @ X-M-P for assistance with your car.

I would also suggest not driving your car any sort of distance until it is looked at.

ok thanks ill send Chicane an email and ask them, and maybe set up an apointment with my saleen dealer where i bought the car, Chicane is too far away, haha. how could i tell if the gauge is working properly?? i mean its its not stuck at 200 if thats wht ur wondering it moves but after driving alittle while it goes right up to 200+

Have you checked to see if the electric intercooler water pump is working? If there is no flow through the system, I can imagine the coolant will soak up heat.

Also, have you checked for leaks in the intercooler system? From what you have written, it doesn’t seem that you have looked at the fluid level in the reservoir yet.

no i havent looked at the fluid yet cause it was still hot, its the morning now and ill check it. wheres the electric intercooler water pump? and if the Intercooler was leaking thered be water on the ground right?

ok so i checked the Intercooler resovoir (next to the radiator one) and its empty there is no fluid in it at al. so that must mean theres a leak somewhere. how do i check where the leak is?? its just water in the saleen resovoir right? should i fill it with water? and just see if and where it leaks? or is it filled with Anitfreez? it kinda looks greenish, the little drops that are left. also a lot of stuff in there is coroded, like i think the place were it drains it coroded so much its like blocking half of it, well not that much..
