hey hows it goin everybody first new post here and basically i came on her asking for advice. im kinda in a dilemma right now and ive got a choice before me. basically ive got some money to blow (dont ask how i got it just know i got it, no worries ite hahaha you know what it is). so anyways my choice came down to two things the new camaro ss and the new 5.0 stang.

ive got two friends that got one of each but theyre the older version i forgot which years, but whenever they race my friend with the camaro keeps putting buselengths on the dude with the stang, so i dunno if you guys can tel but speed is important to me (not the drug haha don't get it twisted!).

so basically there are pros and cons. im kinda nervous about being just another mustang owner, its been out for so long that everyone kinda has one and i think camaros stand out more. especially to chicks. my ex-girlfriend cheated on me with this one guy with a black ss (not my friend, someone else!!) and i wanna be tht dude that just rolls up on girls with the fresh whip and be like yo ma wats good, you feel me.

also, i think the mustang even though it looks dumb fresh is honestly slightly lesser on the freshness scale than the maro because all the mustangs of the past 10 years basicaly look the same. according to my friend with the camaro he says theyre more classic cars and retain value better than the mustangs but i dont know how much thats accurate since i havent seen any numbers backing that claim up. he also claims that mustangs rust easily and he always call smy boys mustang the "rustang." haters in the building.

but his camaros had mad problems straight out the factory too. dudes air conditioning wouldn't work and his car got so f'd up after 9000 miles that he had to send it back to the dealership and get it fixed while he drove some stupid rental car around. and hes having another problem with the maro right now.

so right now im tryna ask you ghuys wachu think about maro vs stang. basically i want speed, luxury, and some fine honeys nah mean.

Well, coming to a site called stangnet, you know our recommendation. Now, on to the subject, the new 5.0 may be "dumb fresh" but "slightly lesser on the freshness scale" to you, but the 5.0 WILL outrun the new Camaro SS assuming both are stock. I don't know how well the SS responds to mods, but the 5.0 is a beast and really wakes up even more with a good tune and some bolt-ons/suspension mods. So I say go 'stang and don't look back, it's a great car and faster than the SS. It will give you the "speed, luxury, and some fine honeys" you're wanting, "nah mean?"

I havent had the pleasure of driving the new 5.0, but I have driven an SS camaro.I used to have an LS1 z28 and I loved it, but the 2010 camaro I HATE. It feels chincy, visibility from the drivers seat is poor. Hard to argue with the seat of the pants feel, but the camaro to me is just another pretty face. It isnt a drivers car.

In the end I would go with what you can afford and what you like the most. I would say drive both cars and make your decision from that. Both will likely have things that you love and hate. If you want fresh I wouldnt go with either. In a few months you will likely see even numbers of both cars on the road. Thats why I chose a fox. 10-15 years ago you couldnt turn around without seeing one on the road, now you rarely see them off the track. It turns heads wherever I go and it sounds like nothing else on the market.(except another H/C/I fox )

Another option is that either car in your price range will likely be the same price as a used c5 MAYBE even c6 vette which is a much more versatile car than either the mustang or camaro can ever hope to be. Also terminator cobras are now in the low to mid teens and with a few bolt on parts will be up to par HP wise with bothe the camaro and new 5.0

I was thinking about the Camaro until I actually drove one. The visibility was scary bad for me. Changing lanes on a busy road had a pucker factor of 10. I couldn't stand it. It was a nice looking car and definitely seemed to have the chick attraction factor but I don't think any more so than the new Mustang, especially 10+ which is a new style so the market isn't "over saturated" with them.

But I definitely agree with stykthyn, drive both cars and figure out which you actually like better and go from there.

Unless you are talking about the 2012 Camaro ZL1, I'd say go with the 2011 or 2012 Mustang GT... or if you have time, wait for the 2013 Shelby GT500 or 2014 50th anniversary Mustang.

Are you serious? You're thinking about buying a Camaro because your ex cheated on you with a guy that owned one?????

Gimme a break. I think what you need to buy is a set of balls not a car.

good to see you figured out how to start your car....

both these idiots are trolls. 2 ridiculous threads started by them on the same day. The genius ChutneyYyyYY started a thread that he couldnt figure out to start his can and was trying to start it using the unlock button on his key. You both need hobbies.

The Camaro is more fun to be seen in, but the Mustang is more fun to drive. And in stock form, the new 5.0 will outrun a Camaro SS.

As for getting a car to pick up girls because you were cheated on.....if that's the type of girl you're getting involved with, the car will not help for long before it happens again.

I think thats the most car stereo types iv ever seen in one post Rofl. Yes the mustang has way better interior and performance compared to the Camaro. Looks its all up to the person really, i personally dont like the look of the new camaro but other people do. Mustangs historically hold there value pretty well since they are built well and i don't think rust has been a problem on any car for over 20 years. If its going to be a daily driver id get a mustang since the lack of visibility will really scare you when you drive a camaro, is driven large trucks that have better visibility then it. Also the mustangs of the last 5-6 years only look similar, the 99-04 looked very different, i know i have 1 lol.
