is this custom cam worth it?????

Im in negotiations to buy a Crane cam that the guy says is a custom grind, specs are same as a B-cam, except with a lobe seperation of 116. He says he paid 280 for it, and wants 170 for it. It was used for less than a thousand miles, should I go for it?

I wouldn't jump into a wierd cam like that. I would really try to stick with what's already proven or get it designed for you. I got my heads flowed and the cam designed, but the cam I went with was an off-the-shelf with the exact specs he designed for, so no custom grind required. You may be able to find someone who could provide a similar service.

With your setup, you should be able to find another person with something similar and go from there. I have a feeling that the cam you are talking about would probably suck, but I have nothing to back that.

if its the same a Bcam, why dont you just save the $20 and actully just buy a B cam? i woiuld just save your money and do a custom cam for YOUR setup... not his.
