I was just out looking for a vac leak, and saw something I never noticed. Behind the intake, on the passangers side there is a round "Bosh" thing. It has a like two cables behind it. Is this normal?

edit: I borrowed this pic but it looks like this car has it too. I circled it

What you have circled is the fuel pressure regulator. Bosch makes it. Its just a company that has a contract with Ford. Bosch makes lot of things. But my main question is why Dan doesn't have his vac line hooked up in the picture.

woohoo thats my pic lol. sorry about that

thats the fuel pressure regulator.

when i first got my car, it was bone stock. no matter how much throttle you would give it, it would go nowhere. checked out the filter and it was just filthy.

DARK-5.0 - are you talking about the vac line on the FPR? its hooked up. it looks like it stops but it goes under the intake to a vacuum port

yes... you can check the voltage of the maf, u need a voltmeter, and ..um 6months ago i could have told you how..haha, sorry.
so you need a digital voltmeter, and someone to tell you how... haha...
u use two wires, and if you search you can find the numbers its supposed to b at. *theres diff readings sumtimes from key off, key on, and running engine, so make sure u know which it has to b

to test maf with engine running at idle verify at least 10.5 volts between (red) and (black) wires. then measure volts between (tan/Lt. blue) and (Lt. blue/red) wires if reading is approx. 0.34-1.96 sensor is functioning properly.
