I was planning on heading to Island this friday with some buddies, but seems it is gonna rain. So next week hopefully will be better and maybe now i can get a few more stang's to join us. I know carslile is going on but ia m sure some guys will still be around. Lets try and get a good number of stangs there and out number those pesky weed wackers!

Have you ever gone on a Sunday? I usually go Sundays because it is Test and Tune. How is Fridays at Island? You drive your car to track or trailer? Who did the work on your car? And what's your et and mph in the 1/4 mile? Sounds like a strong combo you have running there.
Yeah i have gone on sundays. During the summer it gets to hot out there to run good so i try to go friday nights if i can. Fridays are ok. Generally you deal with a lot of *** Crap running around sounding like weed wackers..lol. But the temps are better, thus better traction and power. And yes i drive it to and from the track. I did all the body work and a couple buddies and i did the mechanical. No times yet with new engine, but old set up was the same except for the bottom end, and i went 13.0@105 with BFG DR's on a bone stock suspension. Hoping for mid to high 12's with new combo, and low 12's once i get the suspension in.
You do have a point there. It sucks that they start closing the track around 4:30pm on Sundays. I got there late at 3pm one time and by the time I got to run after switching all four tires/timing/fuel pressure/etc it was already 4pm and managed only one run - all this after driving there for almost an hour and then back to changing back all tires etc etc with no rest. Do you know what time they close Saturdays?
